The Swan Valley Stampeders selected 6 players – 3 forwards and 3 defencemen – in this year’s MJHL Entry Draft, held this past weekend.
In the first round, 3rd overall, the Stamps picked forward Owen Warnick from the HRA Winnipeg U16 Prep team.
Cash Clarkson (3rd round, 30th overall) and Ashton Cure (6th round, 72nd overall) were the other two forwards drafted.
First defenceman picked by Swan Valley was Darren Hunt (1st round, 16th overall) from the Southwest Cougars U18 Triple-A club. Swan also drafted blue liners Drew Shiels (4th round, 44th overall) and Ethan McMullan (6th round, 79th overall).

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines drafted 4 forwards and 2 defencemen from this year’s MJHL Entry Draft, held this past weekend.
First player selected was in the first round, 10th overall, in forward Carter Bear from the Winnipeg U18 Triple-A Thrashers.
The first defenceman they picked was Ryder Heaphy in the 3rd round, 38th overall, from the Southwest Cougars U18 Triple-A team.
Other players drafted by Wayway are forward Ian Buors (4th round, 52nd overall), left wing Dayton Desjarlais (4th round, 54th overall), defenceman Jordan Arkle (5th round, 66th overall) and forward Easton Gaffray (6th round, 80th overall).
