A Swan River Man Was Back In Court On Several Charges

Another court appearance for a Swan River man arrested on May 6th in Winnipeg. Officers found about 27 grams of methamphetamine in the suspect’s possession along with a weapon and drug-related paraphernalia. A subsequent search of a hotel room found several loaded handguns. 31-year-old Matthew Barker is facing numerous charges in connection to those searches, along with charges stemming from an incident in Saskatchewan. Barker remains in custody, and will appear in Swan River Court on July 20th.
