Manitoba’s weekly COVID-19 report for June 5-11 shows decreases in most areas.
During the week, 228 new, lab-confirmed cases were recorded, down from the previous week’s 337. The provincial case total is now 145,123.
The weekly test positivity rate also went down to 9.6 percent from 10.8 percent, and the average number of lab tests also went down to 495 people tested per day, compared to 624 in the previous week.
Hospital admissions dropped to 80 from 100 the previous week, but ICU admissions went up to 14 from 7, and 3 deaths were recorded, down from 7. Total deaths provincially is at 2,015.
As of June 11, 83 percent of Manitoba residents aged 5 and older have been fully vaccinated, while 55 percent of residents 18-and-older have received at least one booster dose.
