3 People Charged With Drug/Weapon Offences Have New Court Dates

Three people charged following a drug and firearms bust in Kisbey late last year have new court dates in Carlyle. On November 23rd, Carlyle Mounties executed a search warrant at a home in Kisbey, seizing a stolen firearm, 52 grams of cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of cash. 21-year-old Demetrius Standingready of Kisbey remains in custody, and will return to court on July 6th, while 21-year-old Kiera Shingoose of Kisbey will be back in court July 13th, and 27-year-old Jordan Desjarlais of Regina, will appear again on July 27th. Standingready is also charged in connection with a separate pair of incidents last July on neighbouring First Nations, that Carlyle RCMP say are connected, while Desjarlais admitted to his role in the same incident in April, receiving a sentence of time served and a year of probation.
