It’s HIV Testing Day In Sask.

Today is Provincial Human Immunodeficiency Virus Testing Day in Saskatchewan, with a goal of making residents more comfortable with being tested for HIV. A release from the Health Ministry says almost 40% of new HIV infections are spread by people who don’t know they are carrying the virus, noting that earlier detection results in quicker treatment, allowing people to live longer and healthier lives. A number of different options are available for HIV testing in Saskatchewan, including self test kits, which are available at more than 25 locations across the province. To find more information about HIV, testing, and testing locations, visit www.saskatchewan.ca/hiv, or www.skhiv.ca.
