New court date set for accused in May 2021 incident on Pasqua First Nation

A woman charged in connection with an incident on May 23, 2021, on the Pasqua First Nation, that saw a man taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle, has a new court date.

The injured man was located at a home on the reserve, as was the accused.

56-year-old Laurenda Kahnapace was committed to stand trial by judge, yesterday (MON) in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench, however, the matter was instead sent back to Fort Qu’Appelle Provincial Court, where she will appear on September 8th.

Kahnapace faces charges including including Driving While over .08, and Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm.
