The Saskatchewan and Canadian governments are providing funding for 24 infrastructure projects across the province.
These projects will receive 11-million dollars, which includes work in Kamsack and Indian Head.
Kamsack will be one of 12 communities that will share 6.9-million dollars to support landfill decommissioning projects.
Meanwhile, Indian Head will close and decommission two active waster disposal cells at its landfill, while reclaiming over half of the site, which will be converted into a transfer station.
