Canada Day: Provincial Parks celebrating, drivers reminded to be safe when in construction zones

Provincial parks in Saskatchewan are preparing for Canada Day celebrations.

Local parks taking part in the celebrations are Echo Valley, Duck Mountain, Good Spirit, Greenwater Lake and Moose Mountain.
A number of activities are taking place including crafts, trivia game, floatie races and other self-use activities.
Other special events are planned throughout the summer which includes themed event days, summer cinemas and live music.
Drive safe during the long weekend

Construction workers will still be on Saskatchewan highway during the long weekend, and drivers are reminded to remain on the lookout for them.

The provincial government is planning on improving or 11-hundred kilometres of highways this year, which includes current work on Highway 38 to Greenwater Provincial Park.
Motorists should obey all posted signs, and slow to 60km/hr through the work zone.
Hazards such as sharp pavement drop-offs and loose stones are the reasons for slower posted speeds.
