Charges laid in connection to drug seizure during a traffic stop in Yorkton

Yorkton RCMP seized drugs and made 2 arrests after a traffic stop in the City last month.

On June 23rd, RCMP stopped a suspicious vehicle on Bradbrooke Drive.

Officers noticed alcohol in the vehicle, and seized 184 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of crystal meth, and 1 gram of fentanyl.

39-year-old Steven Best, of Regina, and 33-year-old Tara Martin, of Springside, are each charged with possession, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime. Best is also charged with 1 count of failure to comply with a release order condition.

Best appeared in Yorkton Court today (Mon), and will return August 15th, while Martin is scheduled to appear on July 11th in Yorkton.
