Fort Qu’Appelle man back in court, charged with speeding through construction zone

A 54-year-old Fort Qu’Appelle-district man was back in court on June 30th, facing multiple charges related to a vehicle speeding through a construction zone.

On June 23rd, RCMP say an officer was stopped at a construction zone west of the Edgeley turnoff on Highway 10, when a pickup truck pulled out and passed a line of vehicles, including the police cruiser, as all of them were starting to drive, and a construction zone flag person had to move out of the for their safety.

The vehicle was eventually pulled over on Highway 1 west of the White City overpass and William Cappo was arrested.

He remains in custody, and will be back in Regina Provincial Court today this Thursday (7th), on charges including Dangerous Driving.
