A Guilty Plea From A Fort Qu’appelle Man Charged With Dangerous Driving

A 54-year-old Fort Qu’Appelle-district man was back in court yesterday on multiple charges related to a vehicle speeding through a construction zone. On June 23rd, RCMP say an officer was stopped at a construction zone west of the Edgeley turnoff on Highway 10, when a pickup truck pulled out and passed a line of vehicles, including the police cruiser, as all of them were starting to drive, and a construction zone flag person had to move out of the for their safety. The vehicle was eventually pulled over on Highway 1 west of the White City overpass and William Cappo was arrested. Cappo, who was already in custody, pled guilty to Dangerous Driving and Flight from a Police Officer, and was sentenced to one additional day in jail, and given a three-year driving prohibition.
