An RCMP officer was struck by a fleeing vehicle in Roblin.
On Saturday, a Roblin RCMP officer conducted a traffic stop at a campground on Highway 83 in the town, where he informed the driver that the vehicle would be towed due to it being unregistered.
The suspect then entered the vehicle, reversed at a high rate of speed striking the officer, then took off.
The officer was taken to hospital where they were treated then released.
The accused, 31-year-old Matthew Paul of San Clara, turned himself in the next day, and he was charged with Assaulting a Police Officer with a Weapon, Flight from Police and Failing to Stop after an Accident.
