A Dauphin woman facing drug and firearm charges has a new court date. On May 26th, a traffic stop was conducted in the R.M. of Dauphin, in which police officers observed a firearm on the floor of the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger were arrested, and the driver was found in possession of seven grams of crystal meth. 34-year-old Britanny Bungay faces several charges, and was remanded to Dauphin Court next Tuesday.
Two women from the Ebb and Flow First Nation facing numerous charges, stemming from a February traffic stop in the R.M. of Alonsa, were back in Dauphin Court yesterday. Mounties used a spiked belt to stop a vehicle, and a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up methamphetamine, cocaine, over one-thousand dollars in cash, and drug paraphernalia. 35-year-old Holly Baptiste and 27-year-old Denee Baptiste will make their next appearances in Dauphin on August 23rd.
And a Camperville man remains in custody on a charge of arson. 37-year-old Matthew Flamand was remanded in custody to August 16th, in Dauphin Provincial Court. On May 21st, Mounties responded to a report of a house fire and a porch fire in Camperville.
