One of two people charged after the Regina police SWAT team was called to action on July 17th, made another court appearance yesterday. It started when a male driver of a ride service webpage was hired by a man and woman, who allegedly flashed a firearm, and entered a house without paying. After the SWAT team was brought in, the suspects eventually surrendered, and the male suspect was found to have court orders from Fort Qu’Appelle and Regina, while a search of the home turned up a weapon. 27-year-old Patrick Asham, of the Pasqua First Nation, remains in custody, to appear in Regina again on Thursday, while his co-accused, 30-year-old Vanessa Okemaysim, of Regina, will be back in court on August 8th.
