Conviction in connection with death of Yorkton man

An individual charged with Second Degree Murder, in the death of a Yorkton man has been found guilty of a lesser charge.

The accused, who cannot be named, due to his age at the time of the incident, was charged in connection with the death of Colin Focht, whose remains were found in a rural area outside Yorkton, in April of 2019.

In Yorkton Court of Queen’s Bench on Monday, the individual was found guilty of Manslaughter.

A pre-sentence report has been ordered, and the accused will be back in Yorkton Court of Queen’s Bench on September 19th.
