Retinal Specialist Pilot Project announced in Dauphin

A pilot project was announced in Dauphin.

Manitoba’s Health Minister Audrey Gordon announced that the project will bring in retinal specialists to Dauphin once a month to provide care for residents in the community and surrounding region, so they don’t have to travel to Winnipeg to access specialized care.

The Manitoba government will cover travel expenses and supply costs to support the project, while Ashcroft Vision Care in Dauphin will provide space for the specialist.

Retinal specialists diagnose diseases, treat a wide variety of eye conditions and treat patients who have experienced severe eye trauma.
