A Opaskwayak Cree Nation man charged in connection with an alleged assault in March, has made another court appearance.

On March 30th, RCMP received a report of a 40-year-old Opaskwayak Cree Nation man who had been shot on Hone Street in The Pas, suffering serious, but non life-threatening injuries.

An arrest warrant was subsequently issued for 30-year-old Shane Knutson, of OCN, and Mounties confirmed that he had been taken into custody on April 4th.

He appeared in The Pas Provincial Court yesterday (Wed), and was remanded in custody, to appear again on Monday.
