A Regina woman has been charged in connection to yesterday’s (Sun) Amber Alert.
Early yesterday morning, Regina Police were dispatched to a report of a woman trying to remove her biological son, who she did not have custody of, and upon arrival, both were gone. They were last seen at Regina General Hospital briefly, but then left on foot.
After further investigation an Amber Alert was issued at 3:40 p.m., but was then cancelled at 5:36 p.m. as the suspect was arrested and the child found unharmed.
36-year-old Kerry Lynn Keewatin is facing charges of Fail to Comply with Condition of a Release Order, Abduction of a Person Under 16, and Kidnapping, and was due to appear in Regina Provincial Court today (Mon).
