The Sask. Government Announces Changes For independent Schools

The Saskatchewan government has made amendments to the Registered Independent Schools Regulations, in response to allegations of abuse at Legacy Christian Academy in Saskatoon. An administrator will be appointed into three independent schools that currently have someone employed who was named in the recent lawsuit by former students. As well, the ministry also has the ability to suspend or cancel an independent school’s certification if necessary, and put schools on probation.
