Manitoba is investing nearly $970-thousand to enhance trail networks in the province.
The money is also being used to develop new trails as well as maintain existing ones.
Squirrel Hills Trail Park, near Minnedosa, is receiving $75-thousand for a new trail and enhancement.
This is part of the provincial government’s overall $10-million investment in trails, in partnership with Trails Manitoba and the Winnipeg Foundation.
The province noted over 2-thousand people responded to an EngageMB public survey, demonstrating Manitobans’ interest for recreational trails.
A map of trails can be found on the Trails Manitoba website.
