Manitoba had an increase of new, confirmed COVID-19 cases during the second week of August.
455 new cases were recorded between August 7-13, up from the previous week’s 347. The weekly test positivity rate also increased to 23.8 percent, from 20.8 percent.
There were 72 hospital admissions and 19 ICU admissions – both increases from 57 and 12 respectively – but the number of deaths went down to 2.
Seven outbreaks at long-term care facilities were reported last week.
