Saskatchewan released its first COVID-19 monthly report for the period of July 17-August 13.
The province recorded 1-thousand 524 new cases during that time period, an average of 381 new cases per week. The weekly test positivity rate was 7.4 percent, with the Central East and Saskatoon regions having the highest test positivity rates at 10 percent each.
Hospital admissions totalled 488, an average of 122 per week, and ICU admissions totalled 27, an average of 7 per week. These are increases from the previous reporting period of June 26-July 16.
There were 27 deaths reported, which also works to an average of 7 deaths per week.
There was also an increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 outbreaks, from 3 in the last report to 46 in today’s (Thurs) report.
