A Sask. Woman Goes To Trial In A Fatal Vehicle-Pedestrian Accident

A Piapot First Nation woman, who has been committed to stand trial on charges stemming from a fatal vehicle/ pedestrian collision, has made another court appearance. 45-year-old Leah Pratt was in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench yesterday, where her matters were adjourned for trial to October 3rd. Southey RCMP were called to the scene of the incident in August of 2019, where a woman confirmed she had struck the victim with her vehicle, on a driveway at a home on the reserve. 33-year-old Nolan Sugar was pronounced dead at a Regina hospital.
