A new court date has been set for a former Yorkton man charged with Manslaughter, in connection with the death of a one-year-old girl in Regina. 21-year-old Bailey Peepeetch was originally arrested for Aggravated Assault on October 7, 2020, but the charge was upgraded when the girl died two days later. Regina Police say the investigation began when they were called to a hospital for a report of a critically injured child, and that the injuries were suspected to be the result of physical abuse. Peepeetch is committed to stand trial by jury in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench, beginning January 23rd of next year, however his next pretrial appearance will be on November 21st.
