A new golf course is being created in Preeceville.
Mayor Ralph Ager says it’s being built just south of Annie Laurie Lake.
He says two holes are currently playable and hopes by the fall another two or three holes will be playable. Some of the holes are Par 3’s and Par 4’s.
The course is being developed by the Preeceville Economic Development Committee.
Also, construction on the east side of Preeceville continues.
Mayor Ager notes that work is being done on a new bike and skate park. Construction has been ongoing for the last three weeks.
Another project on-the-go is renovations to the Preeceville Curling Rink.
Ager says the main lobby floor will be replaced as well as new flooring on the second floor.
The renovations should be complete in time for the new curling season.
He says the Curling Club has been raising funds for this project over the past few years.
