13-million dollars in federal and provincial funding was announced for five recreation facilities in Manitoba.
One of the projects receiving funding is the Kelwood Community Skating Rink in the RM of Rosedale.
The project will complete the interior with new plumbing, electrical, flooring and heating system installations, as well as a new kitchen and washroom facilities.
The Canadian government invested 9.8-million dollars in the projects through the Canada Infrastructure Program, 3.1-million dollars is being provided by the Manitoba government, while First Nation and Municipalities are providing 4.6-million dollars.
