Team From Esterhazy Taking Part In International Mines Rescue Competition

The International Mines Rescue Competition is back on after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s competition is being held in Beaver, West Virginia and features teams from all over the world, including Canada, the US, India, Finland, Poland, Australia and Zambia.

Running until Friday, competitors will be tested on a various number of skills, which includes firefighting, first aid, and various mine rescue scenarios.

A local team is taking part in the competition, which are members from Mosaic Mine in Esterhazy.
