SGI has developed a new framework to allow e-scooters to operate on municipal roads across Saskatchewan, something not previously allowed. The insurance company’s Tyler McMurchy says there will be regulations governing their use, but says individual municipalities will have the final say. There will be guidelines, including restricting use to roads with a speed limit of 50 km/h or less, and a top speed of 24 km/h, and a minimum operator age of 16.
