Saskatchewan had its largest number of tornadoes in the past decade. Environment Canada says there were 25 this summer, including four that were rated EF 2’s in the Blaine Lake, Manitou Beach, Big River and Paynton regions. As for rainfall, areas like North Battleford had 4.9 millimetres and Moose Jaw recorded 4.6 millimetres last month. It was also 2.5 to 4 degrees warmer than normal around the province.
