Saskatchewan’s latest public offering of Crown petroleum and natural gas rights brought in over $5.4-million to provincial coffers.
The province says the October 4th offering more than doubled the October 2021 offering.
This brings the total for the current fiscal year to more than $34.1-million.
The Estevan area garnered the most interest, bringing in over $4.3-million for 49 leases totaling 4-thousand 125.49 hectares. The highest bid in this offering was over $608-thousand for a 161 hectare lease south of Oxbow, which was awarded to Adonai Resources ll Corporation.
The October sale is the 4th out of 6 scheduled for this fiscal year, and the next one will be held December 6th.
