Saskatchewan NDP leader Carla Beck responded to the “Drawing the Line” policy paper, released by Premier Scott Moe yesterday (Tues).
In a statement, Beck says the report “falls far short of what’s needed” and distracts from what she called Moe’s “failures on healthcare, jobs and affordability.”
“The Sask. Party would rather talk about any other time in our province’s history than defend their failed record of nearly a decade of unbalanced budgets, the tripling of our debt, and collapsing our once nation-leading healthcare system.” added Beck
The Opposition leader accused the Premier of presenting his report to project his job rather than the jobs of Saskatchewan people.
She says if the paper was serious, it should have included bringing back the equalization lawsuit against the federal government, a process started by the NDP in the mid-2000s but canceled by the Sask. Party in 2008.
She says the fact that the Sask. Party didn’t mention equalization once, shows Premier Moe is “more interested in sowing division than actually delivering results for Saskatchewan people.”
