The Saskatchewan Health Authority Board of Directors have approved the appointment of Andrew Will as the new CEO of the SHA.
Will was the interim CEO since December of last year, after Scott Livingstone stepped down from the role.
Will’s previous position within the Health Authority was Vice President of Information, Infrastructure and Support.
In a news release, Will says he is honoured to take on the role as Chief Executive Officer, and his priority as CEO will be to strengthen the ability of physicians and staff to ensure every Saskatchewan resident has access to “the right care, from the right provider, at the right time, as close to home as possible.”
“Andrew is a testament to our home-grown talent in Saskatchewan. Having grown up in rural Saskatchewan, he understands the importance of being able to access high quality care as close to home as possible,” said Arlene Wiks, SHA Board Chair in the news release. “His passion for building a system that works for every person in every corner of our province is combined with decades of experience in health care that proves that we can truly foster and cultivate world class leadership in Saskatchewan.”
The search for a new CEO was aided by Janet Soles & Associates, an executive search firm brought in through a request for proposals process that concluded earlier this year.
