The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency is sending 15 wildland firefighters and one liaison officer to P.E.I to help the clean-up efforts following post-tropical storm Fiona. They are leaving from the Prince Albert airport today, and will help officials on the island province clear fallen trees that damaged structures and continue to block roads. The firefighters, who come from bases across Saskatchewan, will be bringing along chainsaws and personal protective equipment, and will be deployed for 2 weeks.
