It was civic election day in Manitoba yesterday, and here are some of the results. Results for your local municipal election can also be found here.
In Minitonas-Bowsman, Larry Mychalchuk (I) was acclaimed as reeve, while Stuart Walmsley, Byron Hardy, Derek Bartel, Gary Bartel, Leanne Hutman and Gail Wagner were elected to council.
In the City of Dauphin, David Bosiak was elected mayor, with Christian Laughland, Steve Sobering, Kathy Bellemare, Randy Daley,Ted Rea and Devin Shtykalo elected to council.
In the R.M of Dauphin, Ernie Sirski was elected reeve, with Tammy Koshowski, Todd Boguski, Midge Sametz, Ron Ryz, Ken Shewchuk and Ken Plustwa on council.
In the R.M Of Ethelbert, Michael Goy was acclaimed as head of council, with Mike Moroz, Greg Woytkiewicz, Mike Semenuik and Kyle Lylyk on council.
Gilbert Plains was all acclaimed, with Jim Manchur as reeve and Crystal Bates, Todd Brinkman, Trent Crowe, Ryan Paziuk, Grant Pope and Craig Von Bargen on council.
The municipality of Grandview: Lyle Morran returns as mayor with Jeff Elliott, Craig Clow and Clinton Myers as rural councilors, and Tom Stirling, Jim Winfield and Barry Bailey.
For the municpality of Hamiota: Randy Lints was elected mayor, with Ross Charles Gray, Kelvin Tiller, Ed Brethour, Tannie Mcconnell, James Ross Andrew and Kenneth Lawn on council.
Municipality of Roblin: Robert Misko is head of council, with Richard Dereniwski, Chad Jones, Gail Chescu, Walter Hammond, Trevor Kehrer and Michael Friesen on council.
R.M of Mountain: Keith Behrmann is reeve, Willie Malcolm and Brad Wyatt elected to council, with Stephen Nadolney, Nestor Rizok, Jerrett Mosiondz, Arnie Pedersen acclaimed; and elected in the LUD of Pine River are Leanne Marceniuk and Robert McKave.
R.M of Lakeshore: Clayton Watts is reeve, with Fred Schurko, Richard Kachur, Shanna Cowal, Clayton Foster, Michael Brunen Sr. and Gavin Thompson on council.
Municipality of Harrison Park: Ian Drul is reeve, with councilors Jeremy Andreychuk, Gloria Campbell and Taresa Kowlick acclaimed, along with Barry Skrudland, Wade Skolney and Steve Langston; and acclaimed in the LUD of Newdale are Kevin Pedersen and Cindy Dalke; and elected in the LUD of Sandy Lake are Richard Lewandoski, Karen Fowler-Drul and Mark Wahoski.
Municipality of Rossburn: Shirley Kalyniuk is mayor, with Ray Armbruster, Adam Grabowski, Rick Strank, Russ Andrew, Alicia Grassinger and John Kostecki on council.
Russel-Binscarth: Judy Snitynsky is mayor, with Brent Havelange, Estha Baseley, Ray Elliott, Wes Anderson, Barry Wishart and Joel Boucher on council.
R.M of Ellice-Archie: Bary Lowes acclaimed as reeve, with J.P Chartier, Angelo Foulliard, Devon Gurniak and Gabriel Huberdeau acclaimed to council, along with Dawna Jamieson, Cheryl Kleemola and Maria Dyke elected.
R.M of Riding Mountain West: Grant Boryskavich acclaimed as reeve, with John Pickup, Judy Usunier, Brett Bauereiss, Kathy Bennett, Albert Holopina and Darlene Jackson elected; and Dwight Brown, Serena Routledge and Kevin Wasilka in the LUD of Ingliss.
R.M of Yellowhead: Mervin Starzyk acclaimed as mayor, with John Derhak, Lisa Hogg, Delbert Pederson, Tim Shwaluk, Paulette Koroscil, Ron Gerelus and Chantelle Shwaluk on council.
Municipality of Swan Valley West: Bill Gade is reeve,with Pat Ellingson, Brad Kushniryk, RJ McGregor, Carrie Blosha, Terry Neely, and Brian Burick on council, with Holly Kushniryk and Joyce Readman in the LUD of Benito.
The town of Swan River was all acclaimed, with Lance Jacobson as mayor, and Corinna Medwid, David Moriaux, Duane Whyte, Don Bobick, Tracy Boychuk and Tanya Powell on council.
In The Pas: Andre Murphy is mayor, joined by Trent Allen, Gary Hopper, Carrie Atkinson, Randy Manych, Bill Ward and Trevor Lane.
Town of Virden: Tina Williams is mayor, joined by Travis Penner, Bruce Dunning, Marc Savy, Tara Cowan, Jessie Cruickshank and Lynette Grumpelt
R.M of Wallace-Woodworth: Clayton Canart was acclaimed as reeve, with councilors Valerie Caldwell, Diana MacDonald, Mark Humphries, Barb Stambuski acclaimed, Denis Lachapelle elected, with Elkhorn LUD Riley Brennand and Kevin Tutthill, and Kenton LUD Robert Good and Dennis Hemrica acclaimed.
R.M of Mossey River: Reynold Sahulka as head of council, Riley Chartrand, Ivan Fleming, and Angel Johnson all acclaimed, with Gregory Boyko, Barry Heppner and Larry Pascal elected.
