A Kawacatoose First Nation man charged after an incident on the reserve last month made his first court appearance yesterday in Regina. On October 3rd, Punnichy RCMP responded to a report of a robbery on the Kandahar Grid, where the victim was threatened by an individual with a knife, and had his truck stolen. About an hour later, the male was arrested by the Southey RCMP, where he initially provided a fake name. 30-year-old Dakota Asapace faces charges including Robbery and Assault with a Weapon, and he remains in custody, with a bail hearing set for next Tuesday (Nov. 8) in Punnichy.
