Volunteers are needed for Operation Red Nose, run by the Kinsmen Club of Yorkton, which starts November 25th.
Elmer Hollinger is this year’s Coordinator for the safe ride service in Yorkton, and says anyone interested can join in.
“Each night we’re running 2 to 3 cars which require about 3 people for each [vehicle] so 6 to 9 people for each evening shift. The Kinsmen Club of Yorkton has enough members but we’re also looking for others to get involved and help out.” Hollinger said.
“The program will run about 8 in the evening until about 2 in the morning on the Friday and Saturday nights. We will provide you and your vehicle a safe ride home.”
“Just a great service to have for our community.” he added.
To apply, go online to the Operation Red Nose website, or email kinsmenclubofyorkton@sasktel.net.
Operation Red Nose runs until December 31st.
