A Reminder To Check Ice Thickness Before Heading Out

The colder weather means ice is starting to form on bodies of water in Saskatchewan, and the Water Security Agency is reminding people to check ice thickness before venturing out. As an example, the Agency recommends 10 cm thickness just to walk on. If you’re taking a snowmobile out, you need at least 20, with 30 the guideline for car or light truck and more than 30 for heavy vehicles.
