Kamsack RCMP issued an arrest warrant for a man in connection to a homicide on the Keeseekoose First Nation.
RCMP say a 16-year-old male from the Cote First Nation was killed at Keeseekoose in the early morning hours of Saturday.
The accused is 19-year-old Edgar Kakakaway Jr. of Keeseekoose First Nation, who police consider dangerous and should not be approached.
He is described as as being approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 210 pounds, and has short black hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Keeseekoose and Cote First Nations, Kamsack, Canora and Yorkton areas.
Kakakaway Jr. is charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and Failing to comply with a condition of a release order.
RCMP note the investigation is ongoing and residents of Keeseekoose may notice a large police presence over the next few days.
