A weekend vehicle fire turned fatal in Manitoba.

On Saturday, Neepawa RCMP responded to the scene in the RM of Minto-Odanah, where after fire-fighters extinguished the blaze, an elderly male was found deceased.

The initial investigating indicates that the vehicle was traveling south, when it crossed the road, entered the ditch and caught fire.

Police are still trying to identify the deceased male, and the investigation continues.
