An investigation has concluded regarding an arrest in Russell last year, that seriously injured a woman.

On September 17th, 2021, it was alleged that a woman suffered a broken wrist during an interaction between her and an RCMP officer.

Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit determined that there was no basis to charge the officer with any offence, and the file is now closed.

The woman remains before the court on charges arising from the incident.
