A man charged in connection with a drug bust on the Opaskwayak Cree Nation this fall was back in court last Friday. The Pas RCMP seized drugs and a pellet gun at an OCN home as part of an ongoing investigation. On September 27th, RCMP along with the Manitoba First Nations Police Service executed a search warrant a home on Cowley Avenue, where they seized 225 grams of cocaine and a pellet gun. 52-year-old Leo McGinnis of OCN, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and several firearm offences, and he remains in custody, in The Pas on January 20th, when his co-accused, 28-year-old Beatrice Mclaughlin, of OCN, will also appear.
