An update regarding a man who admitted to his role in a pair of incidents that Carlyle RCMP say are connected. On the evening of July 28, 2021, police were called to investigate an alleged assault outside a business on the Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation, that left a man seriously injured, and about an hour later, Mounties were notified that someone had discharged a firearm at a vehicle on the White Bear First Nation. In September, Justin Desjarlais admitted to Aggravated Assault, and yesterday (WED), sentencing was adjourned to January 4th, in Carlyle Provincial Court.
