Yorkton’s Shelwin House, a shelter for women and children fleeing abusive relationship, is the latest recipient of a donation from the sale of GX94 Christmas Goodies Cook Books. Susan Ferber with Shelwin house says the $1 thousand will be put into a fund specifically set up to help women and childrten. And a $500 donation from the sale of the Cook Books has been made to Bruno’s Place in Yorkton, an emergency shelter for both men and women. Bruno’s place has 10 beds, and spokesperson Angela Chernoff says today’s donation will go toward covering the cost.
