Saskatchewan RCMP charged a Lloydminster man in connection to a death and an alleged assault in Margo, and another alleged assault in Tisdale.
On December 24th at around 11:20 p.m. Wadena RCMP responded to a report of an assault in Margo, where officers located a woman and infant, who were both injured and transported to hospital. The woman’s injuries were described as serious, while the infant’s injuries were described as non life-threatening.
Officers then went to an adjacent home and found a deceased woman inside it. She was identified as 51-year-old Sharon Littlewolfe, of Margo, and Mounties say her family has been notified and offered Victim Services.
RCMP Major Crimes took over the investigation, and determined the suspect allegedly injured all three victims, then stole a vehicle from a nearby residence. They add the adult male was known to all three victims, and their investigation determined the suspect was in a relationship with Littlewolfe.
Then at 1:10 a.m., Tisdale RCMP received a report of an assault at a rural residence near Tisdale, where their investigation determined the suspect asked for help with a stuck vehicle, then allegedly assaulted the male occupant of the home, but the man was able to hold onto the suspect until police arrived. The man was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious, but non life-threatening.
56-year-old Brian McLeod will appear in Melfort Provincial Court tomorrow (Tues) on one count each of Second Degree Murder, Attempted Murder and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and two counts of Aggravated Assault.
