New Years Eve is coming up Saturday, and SGI hopes everyone makes it a safe one by not driving impaired. The insurance company’s Tyler McMurchy says that includes things like getting a designated driver. November’s traffic safety spotlight was impaired driving, and McMurchy says 342 people were caught. As well, police handed out 31 hundred tickets for speeding or aggressive driving, nearly 500 for distracted driving and 277 for seat restraint violations.
