Ituna Man Who Admits To Robbery Sentenced

Sentencing has been handed down, for an Ituna man who admitted his guilt, in connection with a vehicle theft and attempted robbery at a Regina business.

On February 25th, police were notified of an attempted robbery at a business, in which the male suspect passed a note to the clerk, indicating that he had a gun, and wanted cash, however he fled the scene before obtaining any money.

Around the same time, police were advised of a stolen vehicle in a parking lot near the scene of the attempted robbery, and it later turned up in Lumsden.

26-year-old Timothy Jones appeared in Regina yesterday (THURS), where he pled guilty to seven counts, including one charge of Robbery, with the remaining counts stayed, and with credit for time already spent in custody, Jones will serve a further 612 days in jail, followed by 24 months probation upon his release.
