Four local communities receiving provincial funding to improve pedestrian safety

Just over 1-million dollars in funding from the Saskatchewan government is going to 65 projects across the province.

The funding is being used to improve pedestrian safety, through the installation of signage at intersections and school zones and other enhancements.

Locally, the city of Yorkton is getting over 17-thousand dollars, Redvers will receive 52-thousand dollars, Churchbridge will get almost 46-thousand dollars, and Indian Head will receive 11-thousand dollars.

Since 2019, 57 community projects have received over 7.2-million dollars.
