Court appearance made by a man arrested in connection with an attempted break-in over the weekend

A new court date has been set for a Sakimay First Nation man, arrested in connection with an attempted break-in.

Last Saturday afternoon, Broadview RCMP were called to the Cowessess First Nation, after a man had allegedly uttered threats and left the area with a firearm in a truck.

The suspect was later arrested at Cowessess, without incident.

25-year-old Austin Bellegarde appeared in Broadview Court today (Wed), and was remanded in custody to next Wednesday.
