A Woman Charged In A Vehicle-Pedestrian Accident Had Her Sentencing Delayed

A new sentencing date has been set for a 56-year-old woman, charged in connection with an incident in May of 2021, on the Pasqua First Nation. On May 23, 2021, RCMP were called to a home on the reserve, after a man was hit by a vehicle, and later taken to hospital for treatment. A woman inside the home was arrested and charged with numerous offences, including Impaired Driving and Aggravated Assault. In September, 56-year-old Laurenda Kahnapace pled guilty to six charges, including Aggravated Assault, and both Dangerous and Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm, and she will appear in Regina Provincial Court on March 21st for sentencing.
