New court date set for accused in June 2021 assault on the Standing Buffalo First Nation

A new court date has been set for a man charged in an alleged assault on the Standing Buffalo First Nation.

On June 22, 2021, Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded to a report of an injured woman at a home on the reserve, and she was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

24-year-old Christopher Maple, of the Standing Buffalo First Nation, is charged with Attempted Murder, and is committed for a jury trial in Regina Court of King’s Bench, starting in April.

He will be back in Regina for a pretrial appearance on February 21st.
